Unlock and Activation is totally different things

I suspect I have to jailbreak it in order to activate it? Where can I find the firmware?

Hi, I activated using Independence but now I can't seem to get Youtube after copying those three files to deadlock. It used to work fine when i activated with iPhoneAct but that doesn't seem to work any more with 1.0.0.2 Anyone have a fix?

All right, I've found the firmware, jailbreaked it,


Did this:

"5) Select the Activation tab and press the "Put PEM File" button.
6) Again in the Activation tab, press the "Generate Activation" button to create an activation file. Choose a location to save this file on your computer.
7) Now press the "Activate Phone" button and select the activation file you saved in the previous step."

And it doesn't activate:

"Activaton failed with code -402563165"

I've tried it several times.

I just want to have an activated iPhone. Can someone help me?

Hi Downer, quit Independence and releauch it. The activation is a little screwy.
