E icon of edge always visible
Hi everybody
In the older version of fw (1.1.1) the E edge icon was on or of (visible or not). Now after the ugrade to 1.1.3 the icon (white box with E) is always on. I've installed bosspref, but it was very useful to see immediatly when edge was on or off from the springboard.
Someone with same problem?
Any solution?
Thx

Welcome aboard. Oh, didn't you know 1.1.3 sucks E icon wise?
You might want to check my thread where I bitch about Edge and the rest of 1.1.3...

I can't seem to turn off Edge through the services app. So now I can't use WiFi even though i have WiFi on, Edge takes over no matter what. And I'm afraid of going into the Settings>General>Network>Edge area....I don't want t lose Edge, it took me a week to get it going.
Any other way to turn it off temporarly

Bosspref is better ... use it!! Sometime Service seems not work fine

in my 1.1.3 boss prefs does not working, Services.app also, so i disabled EDGE manually, but 'E' icon is shown anyway while i'm not connected to wifi

What makes you think it's not working? Regardless of the Edge icon, what happens when you turn Egde off in BossPrefs? Can you still access the web, update stocks/weather? BossPrefs turns Edge on and off ok for my 1.1.3 (04.03 baseband) even though the icon is always on.
