i've found in the youtube.plist file some URLs for youtube files.
this is one of them
http://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/videos/rDB9zwlXrB8

and since they are h.264 and better encoded than flv, is there any way to download them?
did anyone accompanish this?

Not that trivial.

Have you been following all the "get youtube working" fuzz?

They use certificates to grant access to those videos, so only iPhone Users will have it.

It's possible, though, to copy the certificates and use them to download the videos after understanding the protocol structure (which is probably a hacked version of http).

yeah, been following all those stuff, made my iPhone work on youtube with that files.
BUT, the iPhone isnt the onliest application to access youtube from apple:
the AppleTV does the same, and i didnt see an authentification the same way the iPhone has it on that.
