SMS database all gone, any idea how to get them back?

backed up the file, the db format is different, sms.app reset it to empty upon launch...

Nice job backing up but that probably means the sms app is significantly different in 1.1.3 and so is the database format. I don't see how you could put them back in 1.1.2. I'm assuming your backup is from the 1.1.3 file.

If you are really desperate to get them back, you could try going back to 1.1.3 and using a program that backs them up to email or something similar , I believe SMSD does that. There is also a webapp in the webapps section that claims it can do it but I've never tried either. That's a heck of a job though just to get the SMSs back and I actually doubt these programs work on 1.1.3.
