Will this be the answer for us 1.02 unlocked users to bring back our phones to virgin state so we can upgrade then unlock?

this method deletes the corrupted bb and reinstalls a fresh one right? This basiclly Virginises the phone, dosent it?

From what I understand no... Just sit tight and wait.. I hear the Dev team is finalizing a way to virginise the phones.

What somewhat irks me is how they state it virginize's the phone and reverses the anySim and iUnlock messup. Um no it doesnt. They are wrong there. Those apps modified/corrupted the NVRAM, the method described in that link just simply reflashes the baseband down to 3.14, it does not correct the NVRAM issue. That is what REALLY needs to be done in order to virginize your iPhone and also not have it break during a 1.1.1 upgrade through iTunes. If not then your phone will be reported with a bogus IMEI.
So as the previous person mentioned this is what the Dev Team is talking about when they say they are releasing a tool to do that, they are reinventing the methods already in play, those methods are just part of the fix.
