lol. Kudos to the pros who put themselves in danger before us. Thanks a lot Dev team. Will be waiting for your confirmation. I'm receiving 3 new phones this weekend, so I wish we have an answer as to whether to upgrade or unlock first .

    Just a small question:

has the restore process been changed to that of the ipod touch (afair still not cracked), or is it the same as the iphone original (i.e. with some adaptation it *seems* it would work similarly to the current jailbreak solutions?)

If you want to restore your iphone now, hold shift while clicking the restore button and browse to the 1.0.2 firmware file (see step 5 in this new guide here for more info: http://hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=8539).

and btw, nice quote sam and thanks for all the efforts you put into this stuff!

I'm curious if those who updated their firmware today can confirm that they can successfully restore to the older firmware AND put the unlock back on. Just be nice to know that its possible to go back with no harm done.

What if you did a hardware unlock? Is there a difference?

I didnt use the software unlock because it wasnt available at the time...
