I bought this case, and was really excited to get it. But after using it for about two weeks, the backs metal casing has a lot of spots, like if they were chipped off. I found that the case is what was causing it.

I wanted to get a silicone case, but what stopped me was that they look a bit flimsy, and that they also scratch up the silver part in the front. Not trying to be so whiney, but I paid a good amount of money for this product, and Im trying to take care of it as best I can.

So if anyone has any ideas on some good cases, please leave a link or something.

i experienced same problems with cases since i got my first ipod a couple of years ago. They just didnt work and added more scratches to the ipods than they prevented.
Im using SOCKS for 2 years now on my ipod. Best protection ever. My ipod still looks like its new and i dropped it several times. This left only 2 small scratches on the mirror on the back. So just go out and buy some socks. cheap way, too. using a bart simpson baby sock
If you want to spend some more money, get some ipod socks. I just dont know if the iphone will fit. Can tell you in a couple of days when i hopefully get mine, finally

Its an issue of dust.

Dust gets stuck between the case and iphone and it "scartches" against the phone, due to the fact that the case is metal and does not "bend" inwards.

Same thing can happen with very tight-fitting silicon cases as far as i know, so you should be careful and research before you buy.

I've got the Piel Frama iphone case & it's excellent (as is their delivery: Spain to UK in 24 hours) Not cheap but a really nice fit & excellent quality.

I use invisible shield and it works great. Best part, you can use other cases with it, if you want

Works perfect! Just use it carefull and the scratches are gone

I've orderd also the Invisible Shield, but have to wait for a few weeks....that sucks...living in Holland.
