Disabled Edge, still getting GPRS non-roaming data charges
I have AT&T on my 1.0.2 unlocked iphone. I disabled Edge, but some how I'm still racking up Data charges. The bill says "GPRR=GPRS not roaming $0.01 rate for APN002".
It's all outgoing Data Transfer every 15 minutes. I suspect it's from the Mail app. I set it to update every 15 minutes since I just use WiFi, and remember Edge is DISABLED!
So my question is, if Edge is disabled and the Mail tries to update when I'm not near my WiFi (but it can't because Edge is disabled!), why am I getting charged. What is APN002?
Maybe my preferences.plist "fake" settings that was manually inputed with a text editor got messed up by the Services App (It may have overwritten my "fake" settings with its "fake" disable settings)?
I have now reedited to (a little overboard, but oh what the heck):
<dict>
<key>AllowNetworkAccess</key>
<integer>1</integer>
<key>Available</key>
<integer>1</integer>
<key>Setup</key>
<dict>
<key>apn</key>
<string>DISABLED</string>
<key>passwordDISABLED</key>
<string>CINGULAR1DISABLED</string>
<key>usernameDISABLED</key>
<string>DISABLEDWAP@CINGULARGPRS.COMDISABLED</string>
</dict>
<key>Version</key>
<integer>1</integer>
</dict>

Yeah, I went ahead and set it to manual. It's just weird that I'm getting charged even though Edge is "disabled". This should not happen!
Would I have any difficulty getting AT&T to disable the data features, or will they need a little "convincing"?
Thanks
