is there a way to disable edge in 1.1.3 i am using a uk iphone 1.1.2 otb upgraded to 1.1.3 on an none iphone o2 sim.

Settings>General>Network>Edge then just change your APN to something invalid.

i dont have an edge option in my menu

I don't either and would really like to disable edge. Services and iToggle don't seem to be working either.

BossPrefs anyone?

BossPrefs isn't working for my Dev 1.1.3

the settings still turn themselves on.

tried BossPrefs, then all my networks disabled. WiFi does not work at all, even I tried reset network in Settings... :-(

Hey.

It depends if you are using a contract o2 sim, or pay and go o2 sim. If you use pay and go, theres no reason to disable it, because it is already inactive.

If you have contract, then it is advisable to find the carrier bundle: o2_uk.plist.
then modify the settings.

ie: wherever it says mobile.o2.co.uk, change it to something else.

or, you could add a command line (i don't remember the exact line and where it should go, but i am sure some one wil post it here), such as allowedgeediting or something. This will allow you to control the EDGE settings from: settings:general: network. then you can change the apn, username, and password, so it does not access the internet
