Difference between iNdependence & AppTapp?
I ought to be receiving my new iphone tomorrow. I already have a att sim card with data plan(employer provided) and would like to use that in my new phone. From what I understand, I just need to "Activate" the phone to start using it. Once I get my initial objectives met, I would possibily try to install other apps in the device.
What are the steps that I need to follow?
What is the difference between iNdependence & AppTapp? Is the purpose of the 2 apps totally different? Do I have to use iNdependence to activate/jailbreak the iphone before I can use AppTapp to install apps? or can I use AppTapp to activate/jailbreak the iPhonee?
Another question that I have is, once I jailbreak my iPhone, do I need to put it behind bars to use it with iTunes to sync up my music library?

Reason: slight mod of Title
1) Stick your existing AT&T sim in the phone
2) plug in phone to mac, iTunes will launch
3) quit itunes
4) launch independence
5) click "activate" -- wait for it to finish
You should now be able to use your existing AT&T sim. No need to do anything else unless you want to add third party apps to your phone. If you do, then run the AppTapp installer (just follow the on screen instructions).
