Wouldn't it work just to reset the dictionary and let it learn words as you use them, and then after a month or so you could back the dictionary up and have your own, with the words you actually use?

Is there a limit on the wordcount? this file has more than 70k terms
Here is the set I created:

Extract the i/aspell dicts instead. That's easy (and fun
).
Had a look at the code, and some work is clearly needed. The fact that the dictionary file is named *unigrams* indicates that a frequency count is included - something the code apparently does not currently implement.
I may take a look at it for fun in a few days, but am pretty busy right now. Still, I'm sure it can be improved. The system seems simple enough.

Hi,
I just made/modded a dutch dictionary for iphone but when I re-upload these files :
*english-unigrams.dat
*english-stems.dat
*english-unigrams.idx
But it still stays in english, also after restarting the iphone !? What am I doing wrong ? ...

Hmm, go take a look in /private/var/root/Library/Keyboard. There's a file in there called dynamic-text.dat. Since the /p/v/r/L directory is where a bunch of apps seem to store their user-specific data, I'm guessing (maybe incorrectly?) that this is where the custom-learned part of the keyboard app is saved, and that the stuff in UIKit.framework is just the base language dictionary it builds on top of.
Anybody know if this is correct?

Hi, can somebody help me with the German dict file?
I copied them on my iPhone and it works so far.
But it oonly does the auto correction.
I thought that the original iPhone dict does auto complete too?
Does auto complete work for the other language files of the iphoneshop project?
I've seen that the spanish dict is almost 1 MB big, and the german only got 79 kb.
Is that the reason?
I would have a look at the files by myself, but I dont get the .jar app to work on my mac. Can somebody help my with the app?
Or could somebody copy the open office dict to the german files, like the spanish file creator did? (if that is not too much work).
That would be so great.
Thank you

A noobish guide would help, the link that is provided is a bit scarse with instructions (Win and Mac if possible).
I would like to try to make a Serbian dictionary.
