[DFU] how to get out of this mode ?
Hi i have an 8GB iphone running 1.1.4
i'm using windows vista ultimate 32-bit
i used iphone pc suite to turn off my iphone then i manually turned the phone on by sleep/wake button then my iphone showed the apple logo for more than 3 seconds and i thought it was frozen so i used the sleep and home buttons together at the same time to reset it and i holded it to long and it went into DFU mode and now all it shows is the connect to itunes image
please give me helpful ways to save my iphone i don't want to restore since i don't have a backup and i have very important files

Looks like bad news my friend, I believe the only way out of DFU mode is via a restore.
iPhone 3G 16GB Black 3.1.3
MacBook Pro 10.6.3
My Hacks
Desktop: AMD Athlon Dual Core running Leo4All 10.5.2
Notebook: Sony Vaio C1S/W running Kalyway 10.5.4

Got a question?
Try this
If I manage to help, Rep would be nice

Peace

dayvg is right, but you are not in DFU mode, you are in recovery mode. get iLiberty and on the third tab(after you update to the latest version of iLiberty) there is a button that says something like kick into normal mode. Hit that and you should be good. thumbs up if this helped.

If U tried Iliberty and were not able to get out of the DFU mode, I think U are stuck and do not have other option but to restore. You can try Ibrickr as well but I doubt it will work if Iliberty failed.

If I'm not mistaken..
DFU Mode = Blank screen [blackness]
Recovery Mode = "Cord being plugged into never never land" image.

You can use PwnageTool (use only iPwner button) and it will reboot back to normal.
I did it once when i had a similar problem.
