Defective iphones...
Yesterday I just purchased a new 4gb iphone in Buffalo yesterday and took it back home in Canada and used iActivator 1.1.4 (the latest version) to activate the phone. Unfortunately, I started using the phone only to discover that under settings, the wifi option was grayed out and it said "no wifi". After much googling, I have discovered that many people are running into these problems (even with legitimate activation) and apple is telling them to return their phones because essentially, their wi-fi hardware is screwed. Other people are saying it's a firmware thing, but, good lord, if it was a firmware thing, wouldn't apple have the sense to release an update? I am the biggest apple fanboy on the planet but I am so pissed that apple could have let so many phones with defective wi-fi leave Taiwan or wherever the hell they came from. Does anyone have any solutions. I have done soft and hard resets, I have reset all network settings, I have restored the phone and nothing....
