Hey, I cannot believe I found a forum with so much useful information.

I am having an issue that I cannot seem to find an answer on.
This is what I have done.

I started with iPhone1,2_2.2.1_5H11_Custom_Restore.ipsw and unzipped the contents. Once unzipped there is a dmg I am trying to mount to get into. The file I am trying to get into is, 018-4443-16.dmg. I found out that apple encrypts this file, and I tried every thing I could find on trying to decrypt it.

I cannot find the key to decrypt this file. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. All the other people use strings and egrep or those bash scripts and it pops out the key to decrypt it. Nothing seems to be working.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to do this?

Like you, this stuff drives me nuts.

I'm hoping someone can explain in layman's terms how to decrypt 3.0. I'd like to get at those graphics.
