My iphone was charging this one night. I fell asleep as it was charging on the computer. when i woke up, it didnt work. As simple as that. it was dead. black screen of death or whatever you can call it. I let the battery run out (or so i thought) and tried recharging it. No answer. Tried the DFU and all of that, and still no answer. My power button had a problem, but i could make it work using a pin. i dont know what to do because the computer wont recognize it.

Checked all the obvious things? Different USB cable, checking 30 pin socket isn't full of foreign material?

yah i tried. even tried to use a dock! it doenst recognize on a pc, or mac. i wanted to try to force the dfu via terminal, but i am kinda worried of wot it can do to my poor poor iphone. i want to make it work, so i can install the 3.1.3. cmon, its a 2g..

any more ideas?

Was there any weather conditions in your area (i.e. thunder, etc.) anything that might affect the power supply?

Coz it sounds to me like your phones had it. Sorry to break the bad news.

If it's still in warranty get it looked at, if not I wish you the best of luck.

bad news, Maybe the power supply was broken, check it.
