Before going this route I will say this. I was with t-mobile and I use to have a HTC MDA windows phone. Browsing the internet was very slow and sometime very long for the pages to come up. I also had a blackberry that took forever to come up as well. I recently got tired of tmobile because of problems with the service/blackberry phone. I got them to cancell my service and not pay a termination fee. I signed up for ATT service with the iphone. So far things are much better with ATT. I get signal in places that tmobile never got signal. I even think the internet is fast to browse on than tmobiles network/phones. Yeah I'm not happy about having to sign up for another two years or having 5K minutes for $100 but ohh well. Just my .02 worth

My old phone didnt have edge and i didn't mind using google local and such under gprs even though it was slow. But i would much rather have 1000 minutes and some internet for 55 bucks than the alternative.

Please someone figure out how to use a proxy with edge.

Is this plan the same with X-press mail plan from AT&T for $4.99?

    It says on their website:

Xpress Mail allows users to access their corporate email and calendar. It also provides the ability to view attachments, lookup employees in a global address directory, and view email from a PC browser on a variety of handsets.

What are the best settings for EDGE on T-Mobile?
Under EDGE/APN menu, I've used wap.voicestream.com. Left the username and password blank, but my EDGE still doesn't work.

Who has it setup correctly and functional?

I've tried messing with the Edge plist, but didn't have much luck. It would also not be ideal. What we need is a configuration for tinyproxy that forwards all EDGE requests on port 80 to 8080.

    Anybody here a tinyproxy expert?

You need the 19.99$ plan to have the same feature of ATT. I have signed up in CT-USA for the 5.99$ tzones plan, but it did not work at all. The 19.99$ works like a charm!

..i guess it's the better option for now, the BB $19.99 plan.. can you update the stocks, weather widgets with the $19.99 plan?
..i heard it takes 48-72 hours for the plan to get activated.....
