Damamged Unlocked I-Phone
I need help with a Unlocked I-phone that I dropped. After dropping the phone is in safe mode. When I try to resotre, the phone will not respond to the computer, and will be stuck in the "Waiting for Phone" promt. When I disconnect the phone an error message (9) appears. I believe this is a hardware problem since the phone was dropped. Apple will not support me since the phone was unlocked. Does anyone know where I could have the phone repaired?

Try putting the phone either in recovery or DFU mode and try a full restore.

It's ok to drop it just make sure it's in some sort of protective case.

That's why I love my contour showcase
It's all scratched up from nights at the bar showing off the jesusphone, but the phone itself is good as new! Well worth the $35

I also have the contour showcase and let me tell you my phone should have been history ages ago. I have dropped it so many times that I can't even remember. :iphone:

Ack that sucks. Crazy women
I can't seem to find the link at the moment here at work, but I think there's a place online that fixes iphones. Of course, you could always try Apple too, if the phone won't even start and is stuck in restore mode they may exchange it still.

Try to hold down your Sleep/Wake button for 3 seconds. The power slider will appear. Slide this to the right to power off your iPhone. Then hold down the Home button as you connect the iPhone to the dock. After a few seconds the recovery screen will appear, then restore it via iTunes
if Hardware damage try to figure out which part is broken and order it on http://www.ifixit.com/iPhone-Parts
and then follow their guide to replace the broken part http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/iPhone/
Best of luck
