iPhone 3G/GB with OS3

all is working well and without problems... till last week... Cydia suddenly stopped working (finish after "loading" Message -about 3-4Sec after start...

I know that I could run my old jailbreak again... I do not want to loose all my Apps- and go through all the procedure again...

Would it not be possible to download "cydia.ipa" and install it via installous...!?

Did install other ipas like that and it worked well.

Cydia is not packaged as an ipa.

It is a little more complicated than this because cydia manages the packages it installs. Simply replacing Cydia might not fix the problem because it is possible it is with the underying package management subsystem that Cydia installs and then relies on.

Do you recall what you did before Cydia broke? That might help fix it.

I did nothing special... Just looked at the latest updates etc...
Closed cydia and when I try to open later that day, I was not able to enter...

Ok... Is not the end of the world and soon there will be an upgrade to 3.12 out (?) and I will have time to sort all and backup all till than

but I was hope to find a way to "get Cydia running" again without complicate steps or danger...

Hope there is an easy way... no way to install it again (without SSH from a friend...- (have no friends ☹))

hi guys, i also have problems with my cydia. i followed the link above and i cant get that thing to work. After i ssh in my phone var/tmp do i copy cydia.deb in there? or what do i do? I am using winscp.

Just run redsn0w 0.9.2, select install cydia and already pwned. That should fix it.

Just go to JailbreakMe 3.0 on your iphone. install cydia again. If it asks if you want to re-jailbreak, just say yes. Hope this will solve your problem
