[Travel][GPRS] Croatia: Does T-mobile "Simpa Internet" work?
(I hope I'm posting this to the correct section - if not, please move it)
(Sorry I didn't follow the topic format rules - I can't figure out how to fix that myself)
I will be travelling to Croatia soon, and don't want to pay HUGE 'data roaming' charges (I am currently in the U.S. using T-Mobile on unlocked iPhone 2G).
After some searching, I found the "Simpa Internet" package from T-Mobile in Croatia:
(I'm looking specifically at getting the "Simpa Internet start package").
It looks like it's designed for laptops with a GPRS modem, but (I think) it can also be used with a mobile phone. Oddly, it's only data + SMS messages - NO voice (OK with me - I usually communicate with SMS when travelling, anyway).
Has anyone used this with the iPhone? Does it work? Were there any issues getting it to work?
Although I don't use 'voice' much when travelling, is it possible to add that to the Simpa Internet package?
Or, can anyone offer a better suggestion for a 3-week trip to Croatia? (needs to be pay-as-you-go - NOT a 'contract', and not too expensive).
Thanks in advance for your help/advice.
EDIT: In case it wasn't clear from the above, my primary need is for normal internet use on the iPhone (browsing, email, etc). I assume that this package is 'full internet' (as opposed to something like "T-zones" walled-garden). Is that the case?
