Default Could IAsign be stopped by iTunes or iPhone update?

This is pretty interesting stuff. Being that I'm still within the one month trial period, it could potentially save me some money to not have to pay the early termination fees and signing up for a 2 year contract.

Question to someone who understands well enough how IAsign works

Could and would there be any potential of undoing the IAsign progress, say if, Apple or AT&T did an update on the phone or iTunes?

What I'm trying to get at is that my cell phone is my only phone, so its important to me that I don't get myself stranded for any considerable amount of time. Considering that the iPhone is comming due for some potential updates, and that Apple makes money off of every new customer they sign up, and every customer they keep, there is some insentive to make sure you stay under an "iPhone" contract. Any chances that apple or AT&T could lock out iPhones that are using non-iPhone sims?

Please note, that I'm talking about is there a hole right now that IAsign uses that HAS the potential to be plugged, not philosphy of whether Apple or AT&T would do that.
