Let´s say you´re in the middle of a conversation and someone tells you a phone number.

Is there any way to add it to your contacts without finishing the call? Or to store it somewhere and add to contacts later?

How is it done?

Or should I have always a pen and a piece of paper?

Press the home button, open notes, type anything

I guess this is the least bad option (or the only one?). Still, a long way to add a contact (finish the call, check notes, memorize number, open the Phone app...)

Can´t it be done with an app?

If you enable the contacts.app application then you can add a contact during a call.

While you are in a call you just press Add Call (+ button) then keypad, type the number you want and press + (bottom-left). It asks you to create or add to an existing contact. Also after you hang up the phone number you dialed shows on the top of the screen.
So easy!!! You have to experiment some times.
