I currently use an iPod connected to my TomTom 910 so that I can use the TomTom remote control in my car to navigate the iPod menus. Before I go plugging my nice new iPhone into the TomTom does anyone know of any reason why it might come to grief if I do ?

If your iPod didn't get blown to smithereens when you plugged it in neither will your iPhone.

However there is a good chance it won't work. My pioneer radio in my car won't access my iPhone. I believe its trying to mount the iPhone in disk mode and getting hung up (no pun intended) as the iPhone currently doesn't not have a disk mode.
