    Default changing email check frequency

You can change the mail check frequency by editing

    /private/var/root/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mobilemail.plist

file and changing the AutoFetchInterval String from 15 (or whatever you have it set for) to 5 (or whatever you what to change it to in mimutes).

I tested this on my 1.02 iPhone, and it works great. The file is in clear text, so it should be easy to modify

You must restart your phone when you do this, have you tried restarting?

Anyone been successful with this on a 1.1.1 phone? When I tried it, my edited text plist was overwritten by a binary plist with default values.

I have it working on 1.1.1. I edited the file on my Mac, however, using the PList editor.

Thanks! Getting the file converted back to binary using plutils did the trick!
