Hey guys,
i went through the forums and google and everything to figure out to change the carrier logo.. there were so many tutorials that explain how but all is for the supported countries eg: tmobile, at&t, o2 uk, etc.... i want to change it with an image and my carrier name is etisalat i search for it in the unknown.bundle in system file couldn't find any.
help would be appreciated.

You dont use the Unknown.bundle. Create a new bundle for your carrier.

with some general explanation on how to create a carrier bundle without custom logo (post 1+2). in the same thread read on page 4 post 45 how to integrate a custom logo into that.
