Change the processor to a brand new one will solve the problem?
As I have read on this forum the "locked" phone processor has been identified and I think also localized...
(Infineon PMB8876 S-Gold2)
what if we order brand new processors from the manufacturer and we try an hardware unlock?
I can anticipate money (reasonable sum) for buying for all in this forum or organize a "collettive" buying of it.
Please post any relevant information in this thread.
This is the DataSheet: http://www.datasheetcatalog.com/data.../PMB8876.shtml
On the website www.infineon.com I found they have distributors worldwide
I can try to call now a local distributor... but I will need someone working to apply it to iPhone, you think is it possible ?
otherwise: flashing the ones on iPhone with a brand new one? (I am not an expert... I try to give new ideas)

Try to order a SGOLD2, minimum quanity 100.000 pieces. I requested infos on it and thats what they told me. Not cause I woudl liek to solder aroudn the phone and install a new baseband, but I wanted to get the techdocs, which seem to be under NDA.

FCK... Really bad.
the only way is to put money all together.
I am a lawyer and can arrange a special fund to do this... but I don't know if it would be good.
Any impression / proposal is welcome.

bribing a friend who works at apple tech dept
now u say bribe a person from the chip company
cool but the only thing i think is how much bribe will be enough? as a lawyer u know bribes are illegal but donations are not

the only problem is which is guy is the right one to donate money

There is another option to unlock the phone. For this method we need a unmarked van, rope, a couple of strong guys with masks and the wearabouts of Steve Jobs.
