hi

i got an iPhone, which crashed after some sort of copying the LauncherDaemons from a working phone to the only-ssh-able phone. after restarting it got worse.
now i see the apple screen, and there is a "progress bar wheel", you know, the iphone sends some wireless signals (that speaker noise), but i cant connect to SSH, nor will it ping.
i cant see it in iTunes, nor in iPHUC, nor in independence.

how can i restore the phone, or get it into a mode where i can get it to restore again?

i tried that hold power+home for 10 seconds, but didnt work, how exactly would that work? as soon as the screen is "forced off" and you see the stripes on the screen should i let got the power button?
