Exclamation Can't restore ihpone after dvd jon hack

Hi guys. Well, Im pretty scared. I applied dvd jon's hack to itunes, and activated my iphone, worked like a charm. but then, I tried to restore it to how it camed from factory using itunes. it downloaded the restoration file (like 91mb) and the it began the process of restoring the iphone. but then an error displays, saying something like "there not enough memory" on ituens and cannot restore iphone. in fact, now whenver i turn it on (the iphone), a yellow rectangle appears with an exclamation sign in the middle and below says "pleaase connect to ituens". when done this, it tells me that it needs to get restored, but when trying again to restore it, I go back to the other error. I'm left with a brick.

please, I need help. thanks in advance.

I can see I'm probably the only having this problem. In any case, has anyone restored its iphone after applying dvd jon's hack? I mean, is there anything I must do before restoring it? (like reinstalling tunes, remodify the hosts file, etc?

please I really need help on this one. thanks!

Ok. I used the hacked version, didnt worked. then, a copied a itunes.exe without the magic numbers on to the itunes folder (so I have a unhacked version) and also didn't worked. then, I removed the 127.0.0.1 albert.apple.com fomr hosts file, tried to restore, and also didn't worked. I can't restore my iphone.
Anything else I can try? please help...

    hi
i would try completely uninstalling itunes and then reinstalling it.
that should hopefully clear off any registry files.
    post up how it goes

Ok, I reinstalled itunes, and still, it gives me the same result. I'm goingt to post what it shows me:

when I plugged in the iphone tu itunes, it recognizes it and shows me:

"itunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. You must restore this iPhone before it can be used with iTunes"

    then i put "ok"

so, in the iPhone screen, it only shows me the "summary" tab, and in it I can only click on "restore". once i do this, it shows me:

"Are you sure you want to restore the iPhone "iPhone" to its factory settings? All of your songs and other data will be erased, and the newest version of the iPhone software will be installed"

then I put "restore and update", and a small windows appears saying "extracting software" but then, an error windows appears saying "The iPhone "iPhone" could not be restored. There is not enough memory available".

Dead end here. Hope this can help understand the problem. Any solutions please post them. Thanks!!!

hmm, mybe the restore image you downloaded got corrupted during the download? that is a possibilty. try downloading the image again.
if that still doesn't work i don;t have any more ideas except take it abck to apple and ask them for a replacement

Hi. Ok, how do I redownload that file again? I reinstalled itunes, but apparently the file is already stored somewhere in my system, since it didn't redownloaded it. Also, I don't think its the iphone. I had 2 iphones. At first I though it was a problem with the first one. But then, I tried it with the other, same thing happened. I'm pretty stupid, but wanted to make sure it wasn't a bad apple only, and more a software thing.
If I take it to apple, I think they are not going to do anything since they'll probably find out that I was using a hack method, since you can restore the iphone unless you activate it first (which I didn't, since I used dvd jon's method)
Anyways, hope I cant get this solved, or else I'll be left with -1282 bucks and no iphone
Please let me know if anyone knows hos to erase and redownload the restore file. Thanks!
