Cant launch minicom
OK I have been following the free unlock solution
bbupdater -v gives me all the right stuff then I get to running minicom -s I get "No termcap entry for xterm"
What the hell is this?
I have chmod everything correctly and looked at a number of solutions. I even used the SEARCH function on this website !!!
Please help as my wife will leave me if I dont stop dicking around with my iPhone soon.

type TERM=vt100 and try again
Basically there's no entry for your terminal type, so you need to change the terminal type variable.

wait what is this term=vt100, I cant launch minicom either!!!!!

Could be any number of reasons why it won't launch, including the one I explained and provided a fix for below. Edit your post to include the error message you get, and someone may be able to help.
By the way, the command I mentioned is TERM=vt100
The upper case is important. It sets your terminal type to a more 'typical' one, which may be necessary depending on how you are connecting to your iPhone

This forum is so intensely homoerotic, in a good way. The quote of the week came from IRC last night. After news of the free SW unlock was released this scrolled past: <anergex> humps geohot sex0rz leg which made me snort my drink out of my nose.
