Default Can you use ATT Sim card in unlocked phone?

Can you unlock an iphone, that has been activated on the ATT system, and continue to use it on ATT (Unlocked), then just switch out the SIMM with a European SIMM (egTIM) when you arrive in Europe??

    Yes. you can.
I unlocked the phone, put the sim card from my existing AT&T phone and use the iphone for all tasks (I added a data plan though - $19.99 unlimited MediaNet).

About using in Europe, the unlocked phone should work.

Yes, because basically you will have broken it to work the way it would normally work :-)

question. will the visual vmail work if you've just unlock and pop in your att sim? or do you have to call them up and ask for something?

i am thinking about the Work media plan (5mb) you think it is enough? I won't do much web browsing (do it at work or home). cuz i don't want to renew 2 yrs with AT&T..
WorkMedia (5mb) + 1500 sms is $15. I think this is a good deal. I use sms more then web. If iChat build in, thats a different story.

Hmm,well i guess i overlooked Exsisting customer pricing....I saw the price for individual and the lowested rate is $59/mo

There is a $20 plan which includes 200 txts....I wonder how that will work with my exsisting family plans...oh well....i know most people here arn't AT&T employees so i'll head over to the AT&T store and ask them...

yeah those are prices for new customers. For excisting cust. Its just add $20 which gives you unlimited data and vvm. Plus 200 sms. But $5 more will get u unlimited mobile to mobile sms plus the 200 for everyone else... Thats what i got. All in all I ended up paying $2 more than before..... :p

When you add the $20/mo plan to your old plan, are you essentially renewing a contract for another 2years?
