Default can someone link to a post about Best way to put DVD/.iso-video on iphone?

    Hello,

I own some videos that I want to cut down to smaller clips. I currently have the DVDs in .iso on my computer.

What would be the best way to edit these videos, and then what format do I need to put them on my iphone.

I tried searching but it kept saying too many results when I searched only: dvd

I could get ahold of final cut studio for my mac - how hard is it to learn?

    Thanks in advance.

I'm sure someone has already posted this, if you could point me in the right direction that would be great. Much appreciated.

With the new iMovie '08 you can import your dvd's directly (you must mount the iso's on your desktop), edit/cut and export them for your iPhone.

As for the format, it should be MPEG-4 (.mp4).

    Regards.

    Handbrake

    http://handbrake.m0k.org/

It has an iPhone preset. You're after MPEG 4 or H.264 codec, too.

Handbrake is an excellent tool. I've tried about 15 different solutions, and none of them got even closer to what Handbrake did.

The only problem is with Copyrighted DVDs. But you can use other tools to bypass that (search the web. There are lots of them).

I didn't mentioned Handbrake (great application) because he said he wanted to edit/cut before exporting to the Iphone.

i followed the advice on the thread.

i got imovie 08 and am learning how to use it - it seems extremely easy.

However, for some reason, the imovie 08 import feature from the .iso file didn't seem to pick up the sound.

This is odd because the stock apple DVD player picks up the sound. Any advice would be great. Thanks!!

    Tom
