Default Can someone come up with a way to watch live movies in iPhone?

To my little knowledge, there are two possibilities.

    1. Safari has Quicktime plugin installed, by default. So if we try to stream movies in quicktime format ( I tried VLC. But failed in my approach. Can someone let me know, if there are some streaming software out there?), we can watch live movies.
    2. Youtube app. "com.apple.youtube.plist" has a list of urls, the app would search. If we put our own url in there, then we can search and watch movies just like how we watch youtube movies.

Can someone figure out some way of achieving this?

And yes, I guess we can stream audio only quicktime file, which is essentially "Internet radio" for our iPhone!

It's possible to stream all quicktime compatible movies to your iphone using web sharing in OS X. Enable it in System Preferences>Sharing. Create a link between your Users>movies folder and your WebServer folder. Type in http://your mac ip/Movies in your iphone browser and you're all set.

Have anyone tried the new winamp with the iphone? I seem to recall reading that 5.5 includes a very fast and easy way to stream your entire playlist / medialib on the web and whatnot.
