Can I restore my backups later if I set up my iphone as "New iphone"

Hello

Aviegas said that in order to use Iplus and do not have any problems later on after DFU restore to 1.1.4 you have to set up your iphone in Itunes as new phone. However can we retrieve our contacts and settings later on from our existing backup?

If you choose "New Phone" loose everything!!!!

you wont loose everything even if your on another computer just when you use yours just re sync your contacts and music. Yes I know tedious but its better to be safe

FYI: I tried and I had trouble. Mail.app kept crashing, mail accounts couldn't even be deleted, deleting all settings didn't work.

The iPhone was unusable and I reran the whole procedure and used "setup as new" that time.
