Can I Downgrade 3.1.2 On iPhone 1G ?
Is there a way to downgrade my iphone 1G running 3.1.2? I heard horror stories about people upgrading to 3.1.2 on their 1G. If I do upgrade, can I downgrade just in case?

What horror stories ?
You can downgrade on the first generation from 3.1.2 all the way down to 2.x if you wish.
Depending on the firmware you downgrade to, use the appropriate software version to jailbreak (quickpwn, redsn0w, pwnagetool, blackra1n )
No need to unlock if your phone is already unlocked

Ok, you said that I don't need to unlock if my phone is unlocked? Well, right now I got an iphone 2G, running 3.0.1, on tmobile and I got windows. I want to upgrade to 3.1.2. But I've read many people complained that it locked them out when they tried to upgrade and unlock using blackra1n.
Can you provide a GOOD guide that'll unlock and j/b an iphone 2G to 3.1.2 on tmobile that's also windows-based?
