It shouldn't do as it is my understanding that you can ALWAYS put the phone into restore mode and restore to 1.1.2 or 1.1.1. and if you can't get your phone into restore mode then it is faulty and you should take it to apple while it is in warranty, they will give you a new one!

Depends on what FW version you are on now and the method of unlock....

You made over 100 posts here, I assumed that you somehow know what you're talking about. Right now I get the feeling that you don't, seriously.
I have five(!) iPhones. One is my daily usage phone running 1.1.2 and 4.02.xx baseband (don't ask how, it just works ), another one is my "backup" phone (I try to make it work with 1.1.2 but still got problems) and a third one is a 1.1.2 experimentation phone. The other two have 1.1.1 and bb 4.01.xx and I don't touch them until there is an easy and reliable solution for 1.1.2.

The first three iPhones I mentioned have been updated to 1.1.2 at least a couple of dozends(!) of times and they're not bricks. So please just stop talking BS, you're confusing people. Thanks.
