Default Caller ID not working with international number format +xx

if i store contacts as +66 xxx xxx incoming SMS is recognised properly, however calls (which caller ID doesnt prefix) don't. However, if I store them without the international prefix, incoming calls are recognised fine, but not the incoming SMS notification (which have +66)...

how can we configure the iPhone to ignore the first few numbers, jz detect the last 7 numbers or something..

    anyone got the magic?
thanks, im sure this will help out a lot of peeps

What about if you added two numbers to a contact? Can you have 2 numbers per each contact on an iPhone? (so add one with the +66, the other without)

I am also in Thailand and had to remove all the +66 from my contacts for the iphone to recognize contacts. However my incoming SMS still works fine without the +66.

I am using the supersim method. (with 2 thai numbers and one Indonesian number in the SuperSim card)

I have not unlocked my iPhone yet so can't try it out - but if you go to settings and enable International Prefix Assist and then just enter the local number in the address book and enter the country in the address field - does that work?

    Three options:

    a) fix it yourself
    b) wait for someone else to fix it
    c) pool some cash and offer a bounty to have it fixed

I would personally prefer to donate 20 bucks to a bounty pool. Maybe if 5 or 10 others join it becomes slightly more interesting for someone with time and interest to figure it out.

I'm hunting round now for a solution, failing that I'm gonna create a script to duplicate all numbers per contact using the country code and not.

Not ideal but does the job
