Default [CALL FORWARDING] What is this popup ?

    Hi all,

I have just unlocked my iPhone and everything is reat...well, almost. ;-)
When I make a call, the usual buttons appear (MUTE, KEYPAD..., END CALL etc) . But on top of thoose there#s a grey popup saying "CALL FORWARDING ACTIVE" and below DISMISS. Only when I click DISMISS, the popup disappears and I get access to the regular buttons.
I checked the settings, and the CALL FORWARDING option is set to OFF. But I know that Forwarding is set by my carrier (callmobile, which is a carrier using the T-Mobile network here in Germany). Does anyone else has the same problem or knows how to switch that popup off? it's a bit annoying...

    Thanks!

    Greetz,
    Eric

Dude if you did a simple thing like searching you would know that this is a common issue.

There is no way to turn it off as its a network think as much as it is an iphone thing.

If you make a call and put your phone to your ear the call goes ahead, no need to dismiss. the iPhone recognises your want to make the call.

you cant fix it. its embedded into the software and sim.

As i said just ignore it, when your making a call and it pops up put the phone to your ear and the proximity sensor in the phone recognises your dismissing the notification and making the call.

I had this dialog when I first unlocked my phone. I removed it by going into the call forwarding menu and forwarding my number to another phone. I placed a call to confirm it was working (it was), and then I disabled call forwarding in my phone again. I have not seen that dialog since.

I think it is just a matter of getting your new phone and sim and network on the same page.

I went in to callforwarding and forwarded my number. Called to check that it works. Disabled callforwarding again and places some calls.

Oh My God!! of-course it disappears if you disable all call forwarding, it does say "Call forwarding is enabled" after-all so would you expect it to carry on saying it if you've disabled call forwarding ????

But you now don't have any forwarding to voicemail !!!

This is a standard feature on the iPhone. It automatically goes on its own after a few seconds. It is simply there to remind you calls will be forwarded to voicemail because you are making a call. If you enable call waiting or turn off call forwarding all together, the message will no longer appear but why would you want turn off call forwarding to voicemail!?!??!?

I don't see why people are struggling with this, it does not interfere with phone functionality at all.
