There are places that advertise this. They can't be trusted. It is likely a scam.

Firstly Apple knows what carrier is allowed to authorise the unlock for your phone. This will be the carrier who sold the phone and contract.

They won't allow any other carrier or company to authorise an unlock for your phone.

Even if it did work, Apple can later blacklist or revoke such unlocks if they decide they were fraudulent.

No is the answer to that one I'm afraid.

Like Olethros said, if you see one it's definitely a scam.

The iPhone cannot be unlocked by entering an IMEI unlocking code. You can only unlock an iPhone using 3rd party software...again I wouldn't trust that because if it goes wrong your warranty is voided and you could be left with a bricked device.

Have your tried Ultrasn0w? It's what I call a SOFT UNLOCK. You can download it from Cydia (you'll need a jailbroken device) and install it. Reboot your iPhone and pop in a SIM card from another network and Voila! It works.

However, the moment you restore back to factory iOS you'll lose the unlock. Just repeat the above process though to get it back.

The beauty of Ultrasn0w is that it is a piece of software that runs on top of your iPhone OS, a bit like mobile subtrates. This means that if anything goes wrong it won't damage your iPhone. Simply restore and you're back to normal.

    Hope that helps.
