a friend of me is thinking of going to new york city, with like 5-6 differenct creditcards. unfortunatelly all the creditcards are swiss cards, not US-cards.

would it still be possible to get to the apple store (5th ave), buy two iphones with one card, go back one or two houres later, buy again two phones with another phones, go to the other store (soho) and so on, so that he could theoretically buy 10 phones a day.

how is the current situation?

they have a 2-per creditcard limit, thats for sure.

but is that limit only per store, or can i buy two at soho and two at 5th ave?
and can i pay with a non-US-creditcard, like a swiss card?
and how about the ATT store? can i buy there and not have to sign a contract? maybe tell its for a friend as a gift?

any advise? ordering online maybe? how long does it take to deliver? and do they deliver only if paid with a US card?

I used an Australian credit card, and even an Australian drivers license and it was fine.
But, if you do the maths, 2*5 to 6 = 10 to 12.

It's not 2 per day per credit card, it's 2 per credit card.

And they look up at the store on their database to see if the credit card has been used at another store.

as far as i know the maximum order in the online store is just 2 iphones with one cc... and that cc is blacklisted after that....

I was the one who bought 15 phones with same credit card. 3 orders, 5 phones per order. all shipped to same address.
I was going to order more, since they are shipping 1.12 now, so I will hold off for while til the new AnySIM come out.

My wife and I recently drove 200 miles to go to 3 stores in two different cities and we bought 2 iphones each = 4 iphones per store and we paid with 2 credit cards with mexican drivers license. We did return to one of the stores we had already visited and bought 2 more iphones. As I returned to that store, my wife picked up her 2 iphones, but when I tried to buy, the employee became suspicions and he went into the back to check my credit card, he then returned saying it was already used to buy iphones, so I could not buy my last 2 iphones. The total trip was for 14 iphones:

Store 1 City 1 4 iphones (2 myself, 2 my wife)

Store 2 City 1 8 iphones (2 myself first visit, 2 myself second visit. 2 my wife first visit, 2 my wife second visit) The second visit was 2 hours after first visit

Store 3 City 2 2 iphones (2 my wife, 0 myself. The employee got suspicious and checked my credit card)

What I can conclude is the following:

- You can buy from the same store if you just watch out and identify the person who sold them to you and avoid him/her on your next visit
- You can pay with same credit card as long as you dont look suspicious
- Always ask maximum for 2 or even 1 and then pretend you forgot about another gift and want the second one also.
- I went into the store quickly and asked for the iphones, I wouldnt wonder inside or wouldnt talk to anyone. Just the salesperson.
- I bought screen protectors (to sell obviously) but also to disguise my purchase
- If you have a valid US drivers license and not a foreign one, You just doubled or tripled your chances of buying succesfully since it doesnt look too suspicious

If you have chances to buy more iPhones, do it now!! You never know what will happen with Apple's policy in the future. I am trying to buy at least 100 iphones. I am going to use the same CC and address until they say something about it. If they do, use another CC and address to buy it.
