Building the Ultimate FAQ...
Okay, I have some free time this weekend, and I'd really like to contribute to the community by writing the FAQ that is so desperately needed on this forum. I figure that it should start with a good amount of general info for every beginner. All the basics, such as iPHUC, jailbreaking, 3rd party apps. Then it should delve into specific problems such as people who updated their unlocked phones to 1.1.1, NO WIFI, iTunes restore errors, etc. It would be really easy for all of us to split up the work.
First, I think we should come up with a comprehensive list of all the problems the beginners on this forum are dealing with, and a large amount that they haven't encountered yet. In the spirit of an FAQ, put the problem into question form, and post it. Once we have decided on which topics to cover and the final list of questions to be answered, we can start dividing up the work. I'll edit this post with the list once people start replying.

sure I'll give ya a hand with some of the shorter bits if you like?
so we need an FAQ for newbies...
ok. "I just bought an iPhone and want to unlock it, now what?" - there's your first question. so we'd have to go over: finding out firmware version
how to jailbreak
getting installer.app onto the phone
getting filesystem access (SSH)
installing apps via installer
installing apps (Dev Team unlock + newest version link) via Wi-Fi SSH (thats how I did it)
uninstalling dev team unlock via SSH
... think thats about it?

Could you do something on the stock 1.1.1 iPhones?
