[broken screen] get a warrenty replacement?)
i have an iphone 2G and my friend pushed me whilst the iphone was being held by the waistband of basketball shorts. bad idea.
so im left with a cracked screen.
the warrenty is pretty damned specific.
is there any way i can get a replacement?
some insight:
originally 1.0.2 once was Tmobile USA now legit ATT.
i have two light dots of where pixels seem to have weakened? maybe thats an LCD error and can use it to my advantage.
the black cover part on the rear of the iphone is shaky (though i have never messed with it)
also, like any other person it has scratches and dents in some areas.
i realize its time to get a newer one anyways and i was thinking of getting the 3G but its more expensive of a plan. is it cheaper for a 3G if u already had a 2g? or am i essentially screwed. do u think i can keep my 20$ service plan instead of 30?
FUCKKKK!
thanks for any insights..

When I exchanged an iPhone, the guy looked at all the scratches and marks on the back and asked me questions as if I had been abusing the phone. He said "well, I guess I can just do it for you this time...." Apples warranty doesn't cover abuse, or what they *think* is abuse. Not sure what to tell you. Dead pixels won't matter if the screen is cracked.

You could just buy a LCD/Touch screen replacement. Conviently I have a 2G iPhone which has a broken logic board but a perfect touchscreen/LCD
