I bought an iphone 3gs on ebay it had 3.1.3 ve 05.12.01 baseband unlocked it using spirit jailbreak and then ultrasnow 0.93 without any problems. now it works well including wifi but except the 3g/edge internet connection. when i open safari it says there is no internet connection. i checked cellular data settings many times but there seems no problem. The only thing is, previous user has some restrictions and it asks for a password. İs it possible to shut down 3g/edge from restrictions menu? Also, is there a way to restore the iphone to factory settings without losing the unlock or is it unlockable again after restoring? Will restoring help solving the problem?

Any comments or suggestions are appreciated.

First, make sure your carrier phone plan has data, then I'd suggest restoring the phone, this might be a little complicated since we're talking about a 3Gs.
When you open Cydia, does it say 'This device has SHSHs on file for iPhone OS/iOS: 3.1.3' or any other firmware version? If it does, then you want to follow instructions to modify your hosts file: Caching Apple's Signature Server - Jay Freeman (saurik) and then restore to 3.1.3. You will then be able to use spirit and ultrasn0w.


If it doesn't, you might want to wait the new jailbreak, which is right around the corner....
