Default BMW and iPhone. Problem with numbers.

My iPhone connects with BMW over Bluetooth just fine. Audio quality is fine also. But I have a problem, and I suppose everyone have it. I'm from Latvia, and here phone numbers starts with +371, so does all numbers in my address book. But BMW doesn't recognize + sign. So, instead of +371 2345678, I have 371 2345678 in my cars address book, which of course doesn't work. Basically, It's not a bug, because US numbers starts without + sign. And even AT&T know about this problem:

    8. Contacts with International Number
It is not possible to dial an international number if there was a + in the number. All
international contacts need to be saved with the prefix 011.
    (e.g. 01149-... Instead of +49-...)

Is it possible to make it work fine? As I know, in Lexus, it works fine.

Have you tried removing the + sign, and replacing it with the country code instead. I can dial Europe from some international contacts from my car, but no plus sign.

Try removing it/ use the country code (as in a local area code in the US), then the full exchange/number.

Report your findings. Hope this helps

Doesn't work on a BMW. The audio is still not routed through the car properly even though it dials through.

Not sure what you mean by doesnt work. I have an M3 05' and international calling(from the US) does indeed work.

Or did you mean other countries for dialing out?

I suppose that calling international from the US, should be with 011 in the front? It won't work here. tigres, actually +371 is country code, and if there's no + sign, it won't call. I'm not calling international, I've unlocked my iphone, these are my internal calls.

There appears to be a problem with the bluetooth on the bmw where the audio cuts out intermittently. I have that problem and others also have reported it. Seems to be an issue when you have wifi also turned on. Turn wifi off and it works fine. Hopefully its a bug that gets fixed soon
