Got my phone yesterday and i was trying to send all my contacts from my previous cell phone via bluetooth to the iphone.
Question #1: Can you give your iphone a name?
Question #2: Can you sync iphone with isync?
Question #3: Can you do anything with bluetooth on iphone besides connecting a headset?
Seems a bit retard to me.
This is a cool phone but still soooo much to improve.

A friend tried to send me a picture using bluetooth but failed.

And you have not tried the SMS apps :-)

It will do - The Iphone isnt capable to sending / recieving files via bluetooth. Come to think of it, remtote connectiity to a PC (probably cos then you wouldnt need to use itunes to sync) - I'm hoping this is going to be addressed in the new FW update due shortly

But yeah I agree with your comments, why put bluetooth on it if can only connect to a headset, seems pretty pointless as everyone I know usesbluetooth to share files with their mates. - Kinda a half way job and I dont like saying that cos I really do love the iphone

I also couldnt figure out why they havent included MMS - all this stuff that they havent included seems to be pretty stanard stuff now on any other phone you'd buy

Lets hope they add in the missing stuff soon!

I really hope they put the send/recieve picture over bluetooth option in the next FW because this is retarded. I don't have an unlimited data plan, here data is prety expensive so i don't want to mail some silly picture, which could have been sent in a sec over BT...

Technically you could sync your addressbook/calendar, etc. via Bluetooth. The only thing that's missing is the driver (rather drivers) that allows you to do so. How stupid of them to forget this! I think that one of the reasons that Apple probably didn't create the driver and probably won't in the future is so that you're locked into using iTunes.

The only future development that I anticipate as far as the iPhone's bluetooth is "stereo bluetooth" so that you can use a wireless headset to listen to music. I'm sure Mr. Jobs will be presenting this in one of his keynote addresses within the not so distant future. I can see it now -- iEars or iHeadset.....
