    Didnt a basband update between 1.00 and 1.01 cause people to do the HW unlock all over again? I'm not so sure it's extremely difficult to reverse via a firmware upgrade..

    I thought thats the reason we had to short out those 2 pins in order to write to the chip.

    IMO, the major difference between SW and HW unlock is that you won't have to spill blood doing the HW unlock...lol
