How is it different, from say uctl?

EDIT: never mind, just found the link to the app.

Can someone tell me why I can scp into my phone even when au.asn.ucc.matt.dropbear is subjected to unload -w? I do not have OpenSSH installed on my system, nor do I see any other SSH items listed in UICtl.

    Nonetheless SCP works.

Also my battery life kicks ass.

    Anyone explain why SCP works?

    Um,

as a side note... when I do a ps -aux in terminal I see /usr/bin/dropbear working

    So what's the deal??

Doing the UiCtl thing doesn't kill dropbear at all! Check it on your iphone!

EDIT2: I got it! Remove dropbear.sh in /etc/init.d ... after rebooting the phone dropbear will only be on when you turn it on in uictl, or in Services. Happy SCPing!!

I've never understood this comment. I'm curious, SSH doesn't have a keep awake mode to keep your wifi enabled. And it doesn't use 1% of processor power when your not using it.(try installing the utils and running "top" to check precoessor usage). I still think it's a wild rumor that SSH uses anymore battery than if it's not enabled. Your probably wasting more battery int he time spent, enabling disabling it wehn required. now if someone can give me some proof I don't mind being wrong...
