[Battery Life] gotten significantly worse?

Generally, I am able to get about 6-7 hours (with wifi) of use out of my iphone. I have the 1st generation which is only about 6 months old. But suddenly in the past couple of days, the battery life seems to have gotten significantly worse, so much that now i can get maybe 3-4 hours of use out of my iphone. I have not changed the way i have been using it, and it's not as if the battery life has slowly decreased but instead it seems to have just suddenly been cut short. Does anyone know what is causing this or how i can fix it?

Have you installed any apps? What ver you running? More info maybe ...

what Firmware u on and whats your boot loader

if ur on 3.9 BL try going to 4.6 BL

What was your iPhone OTB?

I am curious because I thought that your bootloader should never be changed as it was meant to stay that way when the phone was "made"...

I bought my iphone 1.1.3 OTB and used ziphone 2.4 to unlock, jailbreak, and activate. i did not downgrade the bootloader.

I did download a few new apps before i noticed the decrease in battery life but then i uninstalled them thinking that they might have been effecting the battery life but even after deleting them, the battery life remains the same.

Also, another thing i seem to notice is that the battery life is not only decreasing a lot when i am using the phone but it also seems to be decreasing significantly even when the phone is just on standby (locked and not being used).

Right now after checking my iphone, it says the usage time is only 44 minutes since the last full charge but the battery is at about 50%. This definitely cannot be normal.
