Hey guys,

So i upgraded my iphone from 1.0.2 otb to 1.1.4, after the upgrade my battery just drains really quickly all the time, it doesnt even last one day!
i think im on 3.9bl

any advice please? thanks!

I came here with the same issue, I have an OTB 1.1.1, octo prep> 1.1.2 Softupgraded to >1.1.3 and restored to >1.1.4 It's been okay for the past week or so, but at 50%; it drains extremely fast, I was charging it this evening and I couldn't sleep cause my laptop's fan is screeeeeaming so I just let it of with a 60% charge, but overnight, it's drained 100%, what the hell?

I recently sold my 8gb and bought a 16gb and immediately noticed the battery discharges much faster. It seems to discharge twice as fast. I'm running an unlocked and jailbroken 1.1.4.

At first I thought it was because of the larger size. I went to the apple store and they told me the 16gb does not drain faster. Anyone know if this is true? I haven't read that the 16gb is bad on the battery so I'm guessing he's right. However, a friend of mine also has the 16gb unlocked and jailbroken 1.1.4 and he also has bad battery performance.

I wonder if there is some application I've installed that is running and consuming more cpu than it should. I do have a lot of applications installed, but I only used 1 or 2 regularly.

I'm recharging, it drains while charging It's starts at 10% goes to 30% then 50% up to 60%, I have it on for a while, install bossprefs to disable EDGE and then it's back to 50% and now it's 60% again is my battery just reaching it's end of last cycle?

mine is a 4gb version.. is it possible to take it to apple and get a new iphone?

Not fair, you can go to the apple store?:p Well, maybe restoring the locks (if you unlocked/jailbroke) and go to the apple store and ask them.
Otherwise, I've heard upgrading and flashing the baseband/bootloader to 4.6 works, but don't take my word for it

yeah but if i restore how am i going to tell them that i didnt use it? like how am i going to tell them that the battery is bad if i didnt even activate the iphone?

Well first issue there, Do you have a friend with an iPhone who's sim you can borrow? use that sim and patch the activation? don't know if it works but I'm not an AT&T costumer, I'm in denmark, an unsupported country, but I'm still in the clear because I know the guys in the local Apple store (Well "Premium Reseller" huMac, closest we have to apple in DK)

yes im with att, i have a gophone

my battery isn't nearly that bad, you sure you just haven't been using it a lot? Also I have read some baddd posts of upgrading to 4.6 from a 3.9... I am scurred to...
