Is there a huge difference on battery management between 1.1.1 and 1.1.2 ? Cause right now i can only use for 2 days after heavy mail and internet surfing . If there is a difference i will try to update my problem free 1.1.1 iphone thanks .

good news, i updated to 1.1.2 and my battery life is fixed
if i let is sit overnite with wifi on, after 8 hours, waking up in da morning its consumes less than 5% now

1.1.2 sure did some battery management fix

mine is only 16 hrs with few playing music, videos and games. surfing most of the time and the wifi is always on.

Actually you don't, but good for you anyway. 1.1.2 turns off Wi-Fi when it's not used.

OK...i have a dumb question...what exactly does SSH do?

If Wi-fi is turned off in 1.1.2 when in standby isnt it useless to turn off SSH?

Ohhh, now I get it... That's why I see the EDGE icon each time after getting out of sleep for 2-3 seconds even when in Wi-Fi range! Thanks for mentiong that. I thought I was being kicked off of Wi-Fi , that's why EDGE would get enabled. But I guess it shuts it off when in sleep and/or unused. Awesome!

Standby time is really awesome, I think (1.1.2, of course). After 36 hrs, 30 minutes talk time and almost no other use (however, all apps enabled, wi-fi, mail check ev. 30 minutes, etc) it's still at ~80% capacity. I can see it going 5-6 days if little talk, no other use. Maybe more.

However, if I use iPod video, some surfing, etc, screen-turned-on time combined ~4 hrs, then I have to recharge every 1.5 days. It still has about 30% left, though.

Does anybody knows if the battery consumption goes high when the phone isn't unlocked, or is it just the same drain no matter if you're using an iPhone AS a phone or as an iTouch?

I have a locked but jailbroken iPhone and altough I haven't really charged it at its 100% the battery lasts only like 1.5 days.

My iphone battery lasts for 2 days after calibrating it (fully discharging this recharge agene)

My average phone usage is 40 min calls per day

And wifi surfing for at least 1 hour daily

whats the best fw for battery, 102, 111, 112?

cause im on 102 and will be sticking especialy if battery life goes down
when you cant change the battery and you charge the phone every day, its not gonna take long till the battery is useless
