Question Battery Draining Issues after last Cydia Update ?

I wonder if anyone use 3GS or 2G notice battery draining issue, after last Cydia
    update 2-3 weeks ago.
    I use 3 phones, one 2G(3.1), one 3GS(4.2.1) and one 4G(4.2.1)
The 3GS and the 2G , suffer with battery draining , before Cydia update the phone's battery last about 2 days in the 3GS in average and one day in 2G , now , after update, the 2G half of day and the 3GS almost a day. The 4G no problem ….....
a, I switch off the 3G and the Cellular Data buttons and nothing happen.
b, Also I make some research in the net, and other people mention the same problem and say that is something with a bug in new Cydia's software and soon they will fix it, I wonder if that is true .

Any solutions or comments are welcome .

    Thanks in advance .

P.S I've not updated anything else since , so im assuming Cydia is the prob.

Cydia is just a package manager, it doesn't run when you don't have Cydia open on the iPhone. This CANNOT be the source of your battery life problem.

It is *possible* that a package installed by Cydia could cause your problem (but I've not noticed any decrease in battery life - and I run many of the most common packages from Cydia). It's extremely unlikely that any of the *default* packages required by Cydia have caused your problem.

Have you got openSSH installed? change your root password? Checked for more obvious causes like an infection by the IKEE worm?

Please keep the thread on one single topic. The MobileTerminal issue has been answered previously in other threads.

Regarding OpenSSH - I did not say that you "should install OpenSSH", I said that if you had previously installed OpenSSH and not changed the root password - then there is a strong chance you have caught a virus and this is the reason for your poor battery life.
