Battery Charge up
To all who have drained their batteries and fully charged it back up, or to anyone else who has noticed;
How long does it usually take for your phone to charge up completely?
There was a rumor that some phones are only charging 50%, but show a full battery...
So far, it sounds like it could be right. I suspect my phone only charging half way. I have a friend who bought a phone at the same time as I did.. he gave it a longer initial charge than I did before unlocking..Most variables matching (wifi on, auto adjust on, texting and browsing, talk time and usage time is roughly the same int he Settings window), at the end of the day, I'm close to 20%, while he has around 60 to 70% left. when I reached 10%, he was reaching 50%.
I just drained my battery and now I'm chargining it back up. it took less than an hour to reach 75% charged...
Should I be concerned?

Hmm. I seem to be having the same problem. Seems that if I charge it overnight, the battery will only last the next day when I'm listening to music and internet and phone. This just doesn't seem right.

My battery life seems terrible too. I didnt do a full wall socket charge right at the beginning, though I left the IPhone plugged into my PC for hours when I first got it.
I unlocked and then had bad battery life.
I removed SSH, and have done a full wall charge for 20 hours. I have bluetooth off and wifi off whilst I am at work (9 hours a day). I make sure to 'sleep' the phone all the time.
The battery life is slightly better but I need to charge daily and I barely use it. This is yet another IPhone disappointment to add to my growing list.

At the end of the day this type of compaint is common , you are using a smart phone , it is basically a computer before theiphone i had an E61 and that didnt have the greatest battery life.

I have the same problem, my standby time was around 13 hours and usage time around 2 hours (listening to music) and my batery was around 25%.
I tried charging it turned off over night but it doesn't help.
Some people say that this is a hardware issue but I really hope it's not because changing to another iphone is not an option for me.
It really irritates me as I see that most users are getting really good battery time but mine can't last barely a day. Com on the specs say 250 hours of standby time, mine can barely last 25 hours that's just irritating.

Maybe a restore would help us?
This would maintain the unlock correct? Presumably it would lose all my email settings etc? It took me ages to mark email messages as 'read' on the IPhone...

I don't think it is tied to settings
Unless you have SSH or something still running - then I suspect it's bad luck... ?
I use mine for Music and LOADS of calls and it seems to last 2 days

my iphone only shows 4hrs of standby time on Usage after a overnight wall adaptor charge......

I got a friend who updated to 1.1.1 and says that battery life is even worse and safari keeps crashing normal than usual. He had a normal, unmodded phone.
Jesus Apple ! What have you done?
